ROYAL LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY

A meeting of the executive of the Royal Life Savins: Society was held at tho Y.M.C.A. last evening, Mr. G. Neal presiding. Jtegarding tho offer of the socioty to instruct tho N.C.O.'s at Treutham Camp in the Schaefer method of resuscitation, a letter was received from the Minister of Defence (the Hon. J. Allen) statins that a voluntary parade would be called and tho society would be given an opportunity of instructing. Arrangements wore submitted for a tour that is to bo undertaken by some members of tho society to give demonstrations at Levin and Foxton. The tour will commence on Saturday, October 23, the party returning to Wcllincton on Monday. It was stated that, the appeal for funds that had been made throusliout the district had resulted in the sum of £(i being raised.
