PRESBYTERY MEETING
•A meeting of . the Presbytery of Wellington was held' at. St. John's Church last evening. : ■ The Moderator (Eev. J. Paterson) presided. ... The following were appointed voting representatives to the General Assembly: Revs. J. Paterson. J. M'Caul, A. B. Toad, W. J. Gomrie, H. Beggs, J.. Gumming, and Drs. Elliott' and ffibb, with an elder from the session; of St. John's, St. ■James's, Brooklyn, Kelburn, and Levin.
Mr. Usher submitted a half-yearly report irom.the Upper Hutt Home Mission Station,. and the Presbytery expressed great'gratification for' the. very satisfactory 6tate of affaire in this chaTge.. The Rev. W. Shirer reported on results of Sunday school examinations.
' It was mentioned .that the General Assembly is appointed to meet in. Auckland on November 19, It was agreed to send to the 'Assembly an overturn in connection with information : being given -to ministers and probationers respecting. vacancies in the Church. . . '•
