MOTOR-CYCLING

On Saturday afternoon the Wellington Motor Cycling Club held a fast hillclimb on Overton Road, Karaka Bay, which was witnessed by a good number of motoring enthusiasts of both sexes. The W.orser Bay hill was to have been t'be .'venue of the climb, but .owing to the short distance and: bad cdrijers tho former hill was selected by. the committee, as there is a fairly steep climb of about 500 yards, with four corners requiring a good amount of skill in negotiating at speed. Results: W. Izett (2J Douglas), handicap lOsec., 1; R. Keene (3J Triumph), 6sec., 2;' H. Edmunds (2J- 2-stroke Royal Ruby), 3. These gain points in' the Boucher Cup. Izett and Edmunds were riding trade machines, and could not therefore qualify for. points in the Sutherland' and Eankine 'Cup. Points went accordingly to Keene, Packer,' and Watt.
