'At a :nceting of South Wairarapa motor cyclists, held at Carterton last Thursday evening, it was unanimously decided to form.a Motor Cycle Club. It was also decided to meet the executive of tho Wairarapa Association with a view of amalgamation. A committee, consisting of Dr. Clandge, Messrs. W. J. O'Meara, and H. J. Massin were appointed a deputation to' meet tlie Automobile Association. _ At the annual meeting of the Wairarapa Bowling Centre, the following officers were elected Mr. W. H. Day (Greytown); vice-president, Mr. li. R. Cameron (Eketaliuna); secretary. and Mr. A. Phillpotts (Carterton). The centre decided., to support tlio' Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association's proposal to equip a homo for convalescent soldiers at Ror tenia, and each "club mako its own arrangements for raising money. The Carterton delegates , aro to draw the shield fixtures for the Bootli Cup. Officers commanding at military camps are to he notified that all howling greens will be open for any of the soldiers to visit and play on. At tho annual meoting of the Carterton Thursday Cricket Club it was decided to onen the season'on Thursday next. Tho election "of officers was as follows: —Patron, Sir Walter Buchanan, M.L.C.; _ president. Mr. W., Moore; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Keltie, W. R. M'Leod. J. A. Dudson, W. A. Kitchen, and M. D. Hornsby; secretary and treasurer, -, Mr.. J. S. Board; Match Committee. Messrs. H. Ogier, H. Baltrop, and H. M. Trapn; j\[anagement Committee, Messrs. F. I'cdersen, A. Phillpotts, H. Ogier, H. Jl Barltrop, and J. B. Laurence.
