Questioned iu connection with the movement to send additional machine-guns to_ the New Zealand Forces, Mr. Allen said lie liad twice cabled to England to ask if they liad any machine-guns available for the New Zealand Forces,; but had so far received no answer. Ha presumed tho British War Offieo was getting these guns _ manufactured as fast as it could for its own forces. '
