"WE ARE SO SURE OF VICTORY"

LUDICROUS BOAST BY GERMAN NEWSPAPER, By Telegraph—l'ress Association—Copyright (Rec. August 9, 10.20 p.m.) Amsterdam, August 9. The "IColnische Zeituiig" says: "Wo aro so sure of victory that wo may shrug our shoulders at our enemies and their fantastic lies. The Allios will neither succeed in taking the Dardanelles or in forcing back tho Germans on tho East and West fronts. The Germans will not retire until the conclusion of diplomatic negotiations upon tho fate of Belgium, Poland, and tho German colonies. The German merchants will emerge as triumphantly as tho soldiers, and our mercantile fleet will again sail proudly. There will be misery and lamentation in the enemies' countries."
