« OLYMPIC CLUB'S RUN. The Olympic Harriers' Club assembled at Seatoun on Saturday afternoon, where they were the guests of Mr. I\ J. Burrell; An enjoyable run was held, and a pack of about a dozen runners under the direction of the club captain proceeded through, tho tunnel to the golf-house, where a turn, was made across the links towards Ljvill Bay, then, over a part of the usual five-mile course to the Miramar terminus, via the gasometer. From the torminus the pack proceeded along the tram-lino for about half a mile, then over the hill to Worser Bay and the startingpoint. About <110 yards from home the usual handicap run in was decided. After a very close finish G. H. Dixon succeeded in winning by about a foot from W. Morris with It. Steploo a close third, THE WELLINGTON CLUB.' The Wellington Harriers held their tlirce-niile sealed handicap for the Palmer Cup at Miramar on Saturday. Eleven members faced the starter, and the field was well bunched for about a quarter of a mile, whon the men began to 6tring out. Donaldson took the lead early, and at the gasometer the first five were Donaldson, Culverwell, Turnbull, W. B. Bennett, and Tho leaders here increased their pace, and at tho golfhouse had a considerable lead on the rest of tho field. From the golf-house to tho finish the field began to close up, and 200 yards from homo Donaldson, who led all the way, was challenged by Culvorwcll, who ran a good race. After a good finish Culverwell won by about 3sec. from Donaldson, with C. Turnbull third. Tho handicaps for tho race were:—Donaldson, 6cr.; Culverwell, ssec.; W. B. Bennett, 20sec.; Farrington, 25sec.; J. D. Bennett, 30sec.; Eiigle, 35sec.; Fisher, 35sec.; Carmody, dOsee.; Turnbull, 50sec.; J. Peart, 80scc.; and Caddick, 165 sec. The fastest time was made by Culverwell, viz., lTmin. 27sec. On the adjusting of tho lmndioaps it was found that C. Turnbull had won the cup, with a handicap of 50sec., Culverwell being second and Donaldson third. SCOTTISH CLUB. The Scottish Harriers held their weekly run from ClilT House, Island Bay. Paper was dispensed with, the pack being in charge of Vice-captain R. Ballantyno. The course followed tho Island Bay tram route for about half a mile, when a deviation was made over tho hill to Happy Valley Road, which was followed back homo. A handicap run-in was held over tho last 300 yards, resulting in an easy win for 11. W. Rule, R. Waters and S. Water* filling tho place 3. The Scottish Lady Ramblers also had an enjoyablo outing from tho same base, being led by Miss E. Welsh. After tho run the combined parties joined at afternoon tea.
