CONGESTED PRODUCE STORET
A DUNEDIN PROTEST. (By TcloEranh.—Press Association.) . ■ Dunedin, July. 23. Dunedin produce ageiits are up in arms. Stores are full and oxtra stores are being rented both in town and outside. Produce is lying more or less exposed to damago at all the principal railway stations between. Dunedin and Gore and up the Waimea line. It is no use sending it" to town, because there afe 110 boats to carry it away, and no prospect of a boat. Business is therefore at a standstill. ' Merchants point out that Bluff had relief in a shipment by the Pliysa and two visits by the Kaitoa. Oamaru and Timaru have also been able to obtainsome relief, and Lyttelton has a weekly service with Australia. Dunedin lias had no relief at all for the Sydney trado since'the departure of tlio Koroniiko oil June. 17, and the only shipment for somo time to Melbourne lias been by tlio AYhangape a .fortnight ago.
