FATAL FALL FROM A BUILDING. Mr. B. G. 'A. Cooper, S.M., held an inquest yesterday afternoon into the circumstances'"connected with tlio death of Alexander Blair Anderson, who was killed by a fall from a building being erected for the Wellington Publishing Co. at the rear of Tun Dominion offices. Sergeant O'H'alloran represented the police, wliilo Mr'. R. A. Bollard appeared for tho Labour Department. In the course of the evidence it was shown that all the scaffolding connected with tho building was in proper order. Dr. Beard outlined the injuries received by deceased, and other witnesses having been beard tho Coroner returned a verdict that deceased died from shock caused by ah accidental fall from 'the building. . SERIOUS INJURIES. Mrs. Henrietta Flegeltaub, proprietress of the Star and Garter Hotel, was admitted to the Hospital lato last evening, suffering from serious injuries to the eye and head, and a considerable number of bruises. • .WOMAN'S SUICIDE. . CBj Tclegronh.—Press Association; Dunedln, July 23. 'An inquest _ on the body of Jessie Smaill, found in tho Molyncux River on Thursday, was held at Kaitangata today. Constable Martin gave evidence that lie found the body in the river, tied by rope to the overhanging branch of a tree. A' verdict of suicide by drowning wliile temporarily insane, was returned.
