*-! LOWER HUTT CLUB'S REPORT. ' The report of the Lower Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club, to be presented at the annual meeting states that during the season 26 neiv members ivoro elected, 47 resigned or were written off, and the list stood now at 156. Many improvements had been completed to the grounds, and the telephone' and gas had been installed. A successful concert, organised by Mr. E. J. Hill, resulted in tho sum of £47- being handed'over to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. Tho winners of the club competitions for the season were Champion Singles and Wilford Cup, Mr. J. M. Dawsoii; Junior Singles, Mr. C. B. Williams; Open Pairs, Messrs. Davidson and Barlow; Club Pairs, Messrs. J. M. Dawson and Hollard; Champion Rink, Messrs. T. R. Jones, J'\ Simpson, C. Hollard, and W. Hendry (s.). In regard to tennis, the Men's Championship and Brown Cup was won by ,Mr. Walter Lees, and tho Ladies' Championship Singles by Miss 0. Stevens. Croquet trophies presented by Mrs. G; Watson for Handicap Singles were won by Mrs. E. .Tolmson (senior) and Mrs. W. Hendry (junior). The Handicap Pairs for tho club badges were won by Mestlames Ayson and Hollard. The balance-sheet shows a credit of £74 Os. 3(1., and debentiires to tho value of £342 10s. have been redeemed, £60 of which was derived from ordinary rovemte.
