BODY FOUND IN HUTT RIVER.
Two men named Frederick Rassoh and John. Henry• Ramberg called at the Lambton Quay Police Station at about 7.10 0 clock -.Iwc night with; the -informaxioxi tliat they haa discovered a body' in the Hutfc River between Taita Hotel and Silverstream. Police investigations were being made last night.
CAUGHT IN MACHINERY. A man named Greenbank, a carpen,ter employed on the wharves, met with a serious accident while *at work yesterday afternoon, wliioh necessitated the amputation- of his right hand. It' is stated .that Greenbank's hand was caught in a machine, and so badly crushed that its amputation was necessary. .Greenbank is a married man, 41 years of age, and'resides afc Ngaio.
