CAPTURED BY THE BRITISH (Reo. June 25, 10.45 p.m.) New York, June 25, A sensation has been created owing to Britain detaining llerr Dernberg aboard the steamer Bergensford, which was brought to Kirkwall, in the Orkney Islands. (Rec. Juno 26, 12.25 a.m.) London, June 25. Herr Dernberg almost collapsed when the ship was detained, fearing to be taken olf. It is understood in London that the ship was only detained while being searched for contraband. Herr Dernberg, who was formerly Minister for tie Colonies, made liimself notorious in the United States by his Press propaganda. Dernberg left America recently, but he first applied for a safe conduct, which apparently was not given him.
