THRILLING AIR RAIDS
MUNITIONS TRAIN DESTROYED (ttec. June 25, 11.30 p.m.) Paris, Juno 25. A French aviator, and a mechanic,' wore ordered to buinbard tlie railway mid dost roy t.he German convoy. Iliey discharged thrco bombs when the two German armoured t rains appeared, and opened lire and bit tho aviator, who fainted, and with his useless leg dangling in the aeroplane's wires, was hampering its movements. Tho mechanic seized the levers, supporting his eomradq tho meanwhile. Tho aeroplane ivas sailing down swiftly in corkscrew fashion, and tho Germans waited sure of their pray, when they were astonished to see the mechanic regain control of the aeroplane and shoot upwards. Tho Germans re-opened fire, but the aeroplane headed for the French lines. Ten minutes later the captain recovered consciousness and tho two remaining bombs were dropped upon the trains and munitions, and completely executed their mission before returning.
