BOMBARDMENT OF ARRAS
HUNS FIRE ON THE NUNS' HOSPITAL London, June 24, 4.35 .m. The High Commissioner reports: — North of Arras the night was relatively calm, excepting north of Souchez, where the cannonade is increasing. The enemy bombarded Arras, especially the Holy Sacrament Ambulance Nuns' Hospital, killing some of the attendants. At Dompierre, after the explosion of a mine chamber, there was a violent bombardment of French trenohes, a feeble enemy infantry attack being easily repulsed. . . On the heights of tho Mouse the French maintained the captured position. 11l Lorraine, near Lointrey, the enemy counter-attacked, a lively struggle beini! repulsed.
