FOOD FOR THE BRITISH GUNS
NATIONAL SHELL FACTORY AT BIRMINGHAM A MISSION TO AMERICA London, June 20. It has been decided to establish a national shell factory at Birmingham. Mr. Lloyd George has appointed Mr. D A. Thomas (senior of the firm of Thomas and Davey, coal sale agents, Glamorganshire) to go to America and Canada to organise munitions contracts. AMERICAN AMMUNITION FOR GERMANY. ENEMY AGENTS BUSY. New York, June 20. The "Herald" states that German agents are buying 12 per cont. of tho ammunition at Hartford, 15 per cent, at Bridgeport, and 10 per cent, at WatOrbury. It is presumed that _ somehow tho ammunition is reaching its destination, as the agents continue to order. • Tlio first shipment was sent to South America, thenco to Holland and Denmark.
