BARDELL V ; PICKWICK
FAMOUS TRIAL TO BE STAGED. For Tuesday afternoon, 2 o'clock, a great programme is being arranged by the Patriotic Society, under the J. C. Williamson maiagement. The playette "Bardell v. Pickwick" will be 6taged ; and the jury will consist of the following well-known persons:—Mr. Charles Albert, Dr. Fitchett, Dr. Cahill, Dr, Norman Hales, Messrs. C. H. Izard, W. A. Flavell, W. H. P. Barber, E. J. Hill, D. A. Kenny, J. Fuller, jun., Marcus Marks, and Harcus Plimmer. Mr. Chas. Albert is taking the part of tho foreman of the jury, Mr. A. W. Newton is playing Simpkins; Mr. W. H. G. Bennett will be old Sam Weller; Mr. James Dykes, Phunky; Mr. Barry Lupino, Sam Weller; Mr. Jack M'Cardle, Sergt. Buzfuz; and Tarioua members of the Williamson Company will take parts. The programme begins at 2 o'clock a vaudeville show, the aTtists for whichinclude Mr. Lupino, Mr. Rupert Derell, Miss Minnie Love, Miss Dolly Castles, and the ladies of the ballet. In addition, an acrobatic speciality will be provided by Tiny Tot Marjorie and Little Eileen. Mr. Keers, the conductor, will give 6ome "Yankee Doodle" variations. After that the famous trial, in one act, will bo performed, "Bardell v. Pickwick." With tho number of well-known Wellington citizens who are acting as jurymen, and the professional element from the Pantomime Company, the undertaking should bo a huge success.
