1 2 — PARDONED AND RELEASED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, June 4. The "Petit Parisian's" Milan correspondent states that tho Countess. Tarnewska has been pardoned and released. [Tho case in which tho Countess was concerned was one of the most sensational ever heard in Italy. The accused wero the Countess, a lawyer named PrilukofF, Dr. Nicola Naumoff, and Elisa Perier, a inaid. Naumoff was accused of having, on Se_ptembor 4, 11/1)7, killed Count Paul Kamarowski, tho Countess and the lawyer wore charged with having instigated tho crime, and Perier with complicity. Count Kamarowski was assassinated m Venice aftor the Countess had agreed to marry him, and had induced him to make his will and insure his life in her favour. The policy was for £'20,000. In signing it Count Kamarowski signed his death warrant. The Countess was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment, Prilukoff to ten years, and Naumoff to three years.]
