CONTROLLED BY GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Simla, June 4. The control of the Wheat Exports Scheme is working successfully. . The total exports to May 29 amomit to over 11.2,000 tons. Tlie limit" wheat forecast, published on May 27, indicates that 32,250,000 acres are under wheat, yielding twelve bushels per acre, a total yield of over 10,500,000 tons. The prices are reduced to give the cultivators a reasonable profit, and freights are engaged by the Indian Wheat Committee in London at rates appreciably below those chartered by Indian shippers.
