The trail was laid by one member from each club. Captain Harrington, of Wellington Club, who had charge of the pack, acted as pacemaker for the rest of tho journey, F. Harlen, captain of the Brooklyn Club, acting as whipper-in-. AY hen about 440 yards from home, the pack was lined up for tho run-iu, all starting from scratch. The place-getters were: F. J. Byrne (Olympic), 1; S. Hall (Scottish), 2; A. M'Cauley (Olympic), 3; H. Mio (Brooklyn), 4; W. Donaldson (Wellington), 5; j. Wilson (Olympic), 6. A feature of the afternoon was the presence of Nurse Everitt, the sports candidate of the Queen Carnival. She met with an enthusiastic reception, and was assured of the support of the Harriers Clubs.
