HOULDEK LINE. The report of the Houldcr Line, Ltd., for the year ended December 31, 1914, statog that the trading profits, including income ou investments, amount to £158,621. The iuiiuranra fund has been charged with £4174, being the claims and returns in rasped of the premiums received by the company on lines underwritten, and a similar amount has been 'transferred from profit and loss. After charging amounts expended on general management expenses, repair,} and genoral maintenance of tho fleet, and debenture and other interest paid and accrued, directors' remuneration, fees of trustees and auditors, there remains a oredit balance of profit for the year, £82,041. In accordance with tho provisions of tho debenture, trust deed, an amount equal to 5 per cent. per annum on tho -apital value of tho fleet is transferred to depreciation iund, which absorbs £45,819, leo.ving a balance of £36,222 to credit of trading aocount for the year. Tho directors regret the lose- of the twin-screw steamer La Cor.rcntina, .which vessel w-as captured by the Gorman armed oruiscr Kronprtnz Wilhelm on October 7 last. The insured value ol the ship'" is included in tho assets, and the money has since been received. Owing to the restricted war riiska insurance arrangements in operation at that time, thcro is a, loss of £4188 to write off, representing the difference between the written down value of tho steamer and the total amount of war risks instance effected with the clubs. The directors are now considering the details of a scheme for tho reorganisation of the company, u-ud will shortly submit their prosposala.
HIGH COMMISSIONERS' CABLED MARKET REPORT.

Cheese.—The market is very firm.
