AEROPLANES ATTACK A ZEPPELIN
CREW KILLED AND GUNS DESTROYED (Rec. May 17, 10.10 p.m.) London, May 17. The "Daily Mail" states that twentyseven Anglo-French aeroplanes destroyed a Zeppelin which was approaching Ypres. " " . '
The crew were killed', and the Zeppelin's guns destroyed.
Two of the aeroplanes 1 pilots wero killed.
A VAIN FIGHT. (Rec. May 18, 1.20 a.m.) Amsterdam, May 17. The Zeppelin was quickly surrounded. She fought pluckily with her maclimeguns, and 6oared to a great height. Tho aeroplanes manoeuvred skilfully, and within fifteen minutes the Zeppelin was aniid several explosions, and fell, shattered, between Brussels ajid Ghent.
