RESULT OF ELECTIONS
OFFICIAL DECLARATIONS.
In another part of tho paper appears in full the official st,ite of the polls in connection with the five issues put before the electors on Wednesday week. Since election day a staff of over 25 clerks has been hard at work- scrutinising the rolls used at tho various booths, and making tho official re-count of the votes. The. result has meant a few alterations .in the total _of votes polled by several of the candidates, but in no case has such an alteration meant sny change in the of the various bodies as announced on tho day succeeding the poll. Nothing now remains to be done but to officially declare the returned candidates elected, when matters in connection with the control of the various institutions concerned will settle down gradually as tho new bodies adjust themselves to the duties they will have to apply themselves to for the Efcxt two years
