WIRELESS CALL FOR COAL
STEAMER'S SUPPLY GIVES OUT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, May 7. The steamer Invertay, forty-seven days from New York', anchored early this morning. She ran short of coal 11} tays' steaming from the Now Zealand ooast, and burned a quantity of lumber carried ou deck, mixed with coal, untn off Cape Colville. The' coal then gave out entirely, and the lumber would not burn alone.
The'captain wirelessed for coal, which was sofit, enabling the Invertay to complete her voyage. The shortago was caused bv a heavy tropical storm* in the Low Archipelago.
