The parcel-post mail per Main Trunk express cloecs at tho 0.P.0. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south per ferry steamer at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dipatch by teamer and trains, with the exception of tho u6ual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, ono hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. As the last clearance of the city receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. All books and sample-packets and ueirepapers for places within the Dominion must bo posted half an hour before the ordinary letter-mail closes. Uniof« otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained ono hour before tho ordinary mail closes.
