INVESTMENT SHAKES. In the investment market yesterday a sale of Golden Bay Cement at 21s. was the only transaction recorded. The quotations •were as follow:—

LONDON WOOL SALES. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) London, May 4. At the wool sales there was good competition for best merinos, but shabby sorts were irregular. Prices for crossbreds were unchanged. The following prices were realieed for the fleece portions of the clips named:—Lake Cowal, top 131dt, average lid.; Burrabogie, 13d. and 12d.; Carawobity, 12Jd. and IOSd.; Dos&vale, 31d. and 29id.s Hondooroo, 28|d. and 261 d.; Perdoo, 9?d, and 93d.
