BOSS GOLDFIELDS. • The following telegram has been received from the mine superintendent of tho Ro6B Goldfields at Boss;—"Eeturn, 20oz. 14dwt. of gold from 402 trucks. Race tunnel finished Monday; working satisfactorily." The mine superintendent of the Boss Goldfiolds reports as follows on the work at the mine for the week ended April 29;— Blocking has been proceeding off No«. 2 and 3 south-west drives and No. 4 northeast drive. Excavation is complete for the reinforced concrete lock which is to bo built in No. 2 wing drive east before work Is resumed at this face. _ Another connection in No. 3 shoot is being made 'to the main drive No. 7 level some 50 feet nearer the shaft, and this will enable the wash here, which showed a tendency to dip underfoot, tA be worked more advanta-ge-ously. At Kanieri Forks the retimbering required of the race tunnel will shortly be completed.
