In their report the directors state that the net profit on the year's business is £1549 Is. 9d., which, added to £331 Is. 9d. brought forward from last year. Ires £100 directors' fees, makes a total of £1780 3s. 6d. The directors recommend that this s\im be applied as follows The payment of a dividend for the year at -tie rate of 5 per cent, pen annum, which will absorb £1250, a sum of £200 is to be placed to the reserve account, and the balance, £330 3s. 6d. is .to be carried forward. A eum of £150 bas been set aside as a special reserve against contingencies. Tinder the provisions of the Trustees Amendment- Act, 1914. the association has been approved by Order.-in-Couneil as an institution eligible for the' receipt of. dqposits at interest from ■ trustees. The accounts show that interest received and'accrued amounted to £3176 Bs. ltd.. The amount of mortgages is now £56,654 2s. lid.,. and freehold property £843 14s.
