Messrs. Abraham' and Williams, Limited their Pahiatua. autumn cattle fair, held on .. Wednesday, a,s follows :-A very heavy , yarding came forward, two thousand c-islit hundred and fifty head being offered, the accommodation eeverely to:;ed. There were a lot' of very {rood Quality cattle, and the demand for forward conditioned "bullocks and fat and forward cows was particularly keen. Wellbred fiteera also sold well, but ordinary bred stuff and female cattle were, in most cases, haird to quit. Two bullocks Bold by Mr. John Clulow, of Pon, for the Belgian, Fund, realised £77, being bought by ilr. F. White, Jlr. H. B. Lethbridge, and Mr. P. Mooro (twice).
Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua (Masterton) sale yards on Wednesday. A good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of .cattle came forwaid a,s advertised, and w«6 offered to a large attendance, but competition was not too keen, and vendors had to reduce their reserves in several cases. The following prices were realised Sheep: Two and four-tooth fat wethers, 225. 6d.; 2 and 4-tooth forward wethers, 18a. to 18s. 9d.; 2-tooth wethers, 16s. Bd.; 4, 6, and f.f.m. ewes in lamb, 13s. 6d.; 4 and 5-year ewes, 13s. 9d., 14s. 6d. to 165.; forward store ewes, 13?. 13s. 9d. to 14s. 3d.; shorn lambs, 76. fid. to 10s. 6d.; woolly b.f. lamb 1 ', I3s. 7d ; woolly lambg, 12s. 6d. 'Cattle: Springing cows, .£4 10s.; store cows, £2; bull, £5 10s. # They also sold, on account of the Belgian Belief Fund, one sheep dog, donated by Haster Roy Clark, Kuripuni, which realised £1. • .
