THE NAPIER. SOUTH TRAGEDY. ißy Telegraph.—Pre?p Association.l Napier, April 21. An inquest concerning the death of Walter Albert West, who died on March 5, the result of bullet wounds inflicted bv Alice Parkinson in a shooting atfra.v at Napier South, was held to°lav. Parkinson, who attempted to take her own life, bad only just recovered sufficiently to give evidence. The statements of witnesses went to show tiiat deceased and Parkinson had been oil terms of intimacy. The woman met deceased on the evening of March 2, and they went on to a vacant section, shots being heard immediately afterwards. West never recovered consciousness.
