WHICH IS WHICH?
WHAT THE HAT-BAND COLO ÜBS SIGNIFY. In the majority of cases the publis have not the vaguest idea of the meaning of the different colours of the troopers' hat-hands. Some imagine that they denote the district the men come from, and others which company they belong to. The colours really indicate v/iiat arm or brancli of the service the wearer is attached- to. The various colours and what they 6ignify are as follow:— _ Khaki and • white—Army bervica Corps. Blue and red—Field Artillerj. IChaki and black—Engineers. Khaki and green—Mounted Infantry. Khaki and red—lnfantry.
