The quarterly meeting of the Board of Management was held on Monday evening, the Rev. J. G. Chapman presiding. There was a representative attendance. Tho stewards presented a very satisfactory balance-sheet, showing a credit balance on the quarter of £36 15s. 6d. Membership returns show 543 senior and 160 junior; Sunday schools, 660 scholars and 71 teachers and officers. The Aro Street Mission report and bal-ance-sheet was adopted, and much appreciation expressed for the noble work Sister May has done and is doing in that locality. The balance-sheet presented was a record. After the expenses needed in carrying out the ordinary work, the raising of £9 towards the Belgian Fund, the purchase of an _ organ, and payment of the Bame, leaving a credit of £2 on the quarter. This was considered most satisfactory, and a special resolution of thanks was passed by the meeting to Sister. May for her excellent work. A sum of money was voted to help towards the erection of a hall at Trentham for the Methodist members-of the forces'now under the care of' the chaplain, the Rev. W. Walker. The discussion on the work of the Church in tho circuit was interesting, and resolutions carried which it is believed will tend to the more successful carrying out of the church's many activities.
