Y.M.C.A. BOYS' DEPARTMENT

Ct . EASTER CAMP. On Tuesday evening the members of the Y.M.C.A. Boys' Department arrived back from the annual camp at .Waikanae. About eighty were -under canvas for six days, and as glorious sunshine was experienced the whole time tho open-ail' life was enjoyed to the full. Competition for the field sports and the tent championship was exceedingly keen. The champion intermediate ruimer again proved to be Jack l'ound, and the junior was annexed by Norman Nicol. Tho intermediate "Soccer" tent championship was won. by Jack Hume, and tho. junior by Arnold Perry. Sea bathing, football,, sports, rambling, etc., gave the boys keen appetitos, and the good things provided by Mr. Geo. M'Kay, chief of the commissariat, rapidly disappeared at each meal. Camp concerts were held on Friday and Saturday evening, and on Sunday two services were held, the morning one being taken by Mr. Geo. Adair, b6ys" work director of the Auckland Association, and in the evening the boys were addressed by Mr. H. W. Kersley, of the local Board of Directors. Tho boys were kept busy from morning until night, the camp routine being as followsßeveille, soap and towels, setting-up drill, breakfast, tent inspection, Bible study, sports, swim and dinner. In the afternoon, football, running, and swimming occupied the time till tea, and after that the camp concert.. Special thanks are due to Sapper Andrews, recently returned irom Samoa, for the valuable services renderod. The best thanks are due to Mr. Field for allowing the camp to be held on his property. ___________
