HEMP & TOW GRADING

The Department of Apiculture advises that during March the total number of bales of nemp graded was 9373, as compared with 14,455 for the corresponding month of last year, a decrease ■of 5082 bales. For the twelve months ending- March 31, tho number of bales graded was 80,987, as compared with 160,249 for the previous 12 months, a decrease of 79,262. During the month 2192 bales of tow rwere dealt with as compared with 4484 for the corresponding month of last year, a decrease of 2292 bales. For the •12 months ending March 31, the lvumiber of bales graded was 23,574, as compared with 52,213 for the previous 12 months, a decrease of 25,639. During the month the iramber of bales of stripper slips graded was 276, as compared with 151 for the corresponding month last year, an increase of 125 bales. For the 12 months ending March 31 the number of bales graded .•was 1482. t
