The store sheep yoxding was of inferior quality, and prices again showed a. decline. The range was:—Forward lambs, 10s. ( 13s. 3d.; inferior, 5s 9d., 7s. 9d.; cullb, 3s. 9d,, ss. 3d.; forward 4 and 6-tootU wethers, to 14s. 3d.; mcdiuni, 12s. 6d., 13s. 3d.; good 2-tooth wethers, 10s. 6d.; good e.m ewes, 12s. 6d., 165.; fair s.in. ewes, 10s. to 125.; inferior, Bs., 9s. 9d.; good, 4, 6, and 8-tooth ewes, IKs. 6d„ 16s. 6d.; failing-mouth ewes, 7s. 6d., Bs. 9d.; culls. ,2s. 6d., ss.

Thtf fat sheep sale was tery poor, and started with a drop in prices estimated at about 2s. per head, and it uercr recovered its tone. .

The entry of fal cattle waß small, being 262, oa compared with 312 last week. The quality was average oharacter, and- the market was irregular. Extra steers, to £16 12s. 6d.; ordinary, £5 17s. 6d. to 190e.; extra heifers, to £11; ordinary, £5 to £8; extra cowa, to £15 5s ; ordinary, £5 7s. 6d. to -68. Prjce of beef per 1001b., 30s. to 42b. Hat calves were scarce, and ranged from 18s. to £3 17e. 6d. A fair number of dairy cows wer.e yarded, and there was good competition for.the better quality. Prices ranged' from £3 10s. to £11 15s. Store Cattle—There was a very small market, and the quality was poor. Quotations aro;—Yearlings,-£1 9f1.; 15 to- 18months caittie,* £3 10s, to. £2 155.; 2-year heifers, £3 lCa.; 3-year steers, £5 17a. fid ; 3*year heifers, £4 40.; cows, £2 10s. to £b 2s. 6d.'

Quotations were:—Choppers, 48s. to 926.; extra-heavy baconere, to 735.; heavy baconers, 60s.- to' 675.; lijht baconers, 47b. 6d., 575. 6d. Pricc per lb , 51d. to sid. Unfinished, to 5d.; heavy porkers, 30s. to 365.; light. 255. to 29e. Price per lb., 4sd. to sid. Store pigs were almost unsaleable. Large made 16s. to 245.; small, 86. to 145.; slips, 3s.' to 95.; weaners, 2s to 4s.

BTJENSIDE MARKET. Ounodln, April 7. At Burn6ide to-day 160 fat oattle were yarded. Though the yarding was email the quality was fairly.food. Prices were about on a par with lost weeks' Tates. Best bullocks, £13 10s. to £15 10s.; extra., to £16 12s. €d.; medium to good, £li to'£l2 10s ; others, £9 to £10; best cows and heifers, £8 1C«. to £10: extra, to £13; others, £7 to £8. Fat sheep—l 976 penned. Owing to the Burn side Fretrzing SVorks being closed till April 10 freezing buyers were not operating, but the yarding was not in excess of requirements, and competition was keen. First quality sheep sold well at a slight advance on last week's rates, and medium to inferior 6orts were practically on a par with late values. Best wethers, 245. 6d. to 265. 6d.; eitra, to 30s. Bd.; medium, 21s. to 235.; others, 18s. to 19s. 6d.; beat ewes, 225. 6d. to 24fi. fid.; extra heavy to 305.; others, 15s. to 19s, 6d. Fat lambs—463 penned. Export buyers were not in tho market, arid in consequence bidding wrs confined to uraziert and butchers. Prices showed a decline on last .'weeks' rates.. Best, 18s. to 195.; extra, to-225.; medium to good, 15e. to 17s. P ! gs.—There was a small yarding of fats, and. in. consequence prices were slightly in advance of last week's rates. Stores were again far in excess of requirements, and were very hard to sell even at very much reduced 'prices.
