YACHTING
TE RURTJ CLUB'S SPORTS. The Te Ruru Yacht Club held its annual picnic at Lowry Bay last weekend. About twenty yachts attended, each having a full complement of visitors. After luncheon a sporte programme was indulged in. Following are tlje results:—Men's race: B. Kennedy, 1. 'Pick-a-back race: Waddilove and Bolland, 1. Wheelbarrow race: Kennedy and Connor, 1. Women's race: Miss N. Kiernan, 1. Whistling Rufus race: Miss Cartwoll and Eastou, 1. Gretna Green race; Miss Hay and Waddilove, 1. Married men's race: E. Hannan, 1. Relay race: Miss Campian and Mitchell, 1. Mr. Waddilove, commodore, presented the prizes and thanked the visitors for their attendance.
