TEND WOUNDED UNDER SHELL FIRE. (Rec, April 4, 3.30 p.m.) London, April 3. King Albert has awarded three British .nurses—Nurses Thompson, White, and Waite—the Order of Leopold. The nurses -were visiting the first line of trenches, and when thev reached the outpost the Germans shelled it vigorously, killing and wounding several men. Tho nurses refused to return until they had tended the wounded and carried them back on stretchers under heavv fire.
