Despite the war conditions, the severe drought in some districts, aud considerable reductions in the prize-money, the entries__for the lloyal Show are highly satis'factor.v in the live stock sections. There is some falling-off in the agricultural entries. . NEW ZEALAND AWARDS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (licc. March 30, 9.50 p.m.) ' Sydney, March 30. Heavy rain largely spoiled the proceedings 011 judging day at the Royal Show. The New Zealand exhibits were fewer than usual, and figured less freely on the prize-lists. Flaviiiius secured first and champion in the blood stallions, and Ribbomvood in tho trotters. New Zealand-bred animals were prominent in tlie draught sections. The imported horse Captain Dale took first and champion. In the heavy stallions class the New Zealand-bred Native Chief was awarded reserve- champion, and Messrs. Mitchell and O'Brien's Princess Mary, reserve champion, ill the mares' class; the same owners' Lady Wigton was placed first ju the two-year-olds. ■ In cattle Mr. W. Lovelock, of Palmerston, took first aud second with his Holstein and Friesian bulls. In tlie English Leicesters, Mr. John Nixon, of Killinchy again sco9ped the honours, supplying bptli champion ram, ewe, and firsts in all other sections. In Border Leicesterr Mr. Nixon took a first, two seconds, ana a third. There may not bB a great deal of sentiment in business, but there nmst be honesty.
