CUP WON BY FEODOE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association..) Invercargill, March 24.' Exceptionally favourable weather was experienced for the opening day of the Southland E. C. Autumn Meeting, thero being an abscnce of wind, while bright, warm sunshine prevailed' throughout the afternoon. The course was in excellent order, and there was a good attendance. There were several minor accidents during the day, the most sonous being a bioken collarbone sustained by a steeplechase jockey (H. G. Coker), while E. Buddicombe was severely shaken when his mount came to grief with him while running on 'the flat in the County Handicap. The totalisator handled .£13,951, as against J13,212 last year.
