NATIONAL RESERVE

The Hataitai sub-division of the National Reserve held its weekly parade in the I'onoke gymnasium last evening, when seventy members were put through a vigorous training in company tarnation and the manual exercise. The issuing of the rifles has proved a source of considerable interest, and marked improvement all round is shown. The fact of such a large muster on parade in the inclement weather augurs well for the esprit-de-corps of this subdivision, and reflects great credit on tho members. There are now 140 on the strength, and names are added every week
