HERMANNS CONVICTION
COMMENTS BY THE BENCH. Sydney, Maich 23. Hermann was found guilty on three oharges of uttering, and sentenced to three years' imprisonment 'on each, the sentences to he concurrent. The Judge in summing up said that the evidence was so strong of forgery that he failed to see how the jury returned the verdict they did on that count. That Hermann was sane at the time of committing the offences he had no doubt, and the epileptic fits were the result of anxiety over the magnitude of the offences which he had committed. (Rec. March 23, 9 p.m.) Sydney, March 23. Hermann is seeking leave to appeal. •
