A deputation representing the Shaw Union Steam Ship, and New Ze,inland Shipping Companies interviewed the Minister of Customs (Mr. Tudor) with roferenco to. the increased light dues, and asked to make an exception of ships using only one port. It was pointed out that the New Zealand boats used only Hobart, and under tho new rates tho charges would be increased £'25 to £200 per ship. Consideration of the matter was promised.
