THE WAR CORRESPONDENT

APPLICATIONS CLOSED. Applications for the position of official news correspondent with, the New Zealand troops closed yesterday. Altogether about 40 application's have been received, but applications received by the first mail to-day will probably be aooepted aa being in time. The list of names with such credentials as the candidates have forwarded will be placed to-morrow before a committee of four editors of New Zealand City papers, and this committee will make sotne recommendation to the Government.
