YOUTHFUL BURGLARS

Eric Street and Selwyn Hodges, th® youthful burglars w'hose capture a few nights ago resulted in a revelation of their previous exploits in crime in the last two monthß, camo before Mr. Justice Hosking in the Supreme Court for sentence. Both were ordered reformative treatment not_to exceed five years, the Judge remarking that they would be taught a trade and have an opportunity to earn suffioient money to make ail honest start when they left gaol. AUCKLAND BO A RDINGHOTJSE VISITED. (By TelerraDh—l'ro'f Association.! Auckland, March 22. A private boardinghouss m Ardmfir# Road, Ponsortby, occupied by Mrs. M. M'Namara, was visited by burglars last night, and the sum of £6 belonging to boarders was stolen. The thieves must havo entered the house from the back between seven and eight o'clock, when the boarders were in the front portion of the house. A search had evidently been made for other valuables, but fortunately the burglars had been interrupted before they collected any further booty.
