(By Telegiaph.—Press Association J, Chrlstohuroh, Maroh 18. The W.O.T.U. Convention assembled this morning. There were present 104 members. • Mrs.- Don, the president, in her address spoke of "Women and War." She said that women had no responsibility for. the war, for in no country had they been consulted. The women were doing all that was possible to assist the defenders of our Empire; and the president hoped- that at its close women would have the rights of citizens conferred on them. Prohibition > had won much territory in the United States of America; Russia has forbidden the sale of vodka, and France of absinthe. The corresponding secretary's report showed 3205 members, and the treasurer's report a credit balance of £96.
