The results of the one-man coupling, for which there were 54 entries, and whioli occupied the most of the forenoon, wore as follow:—St. Kilda (Lieutenant Duncan), time lmin. 23 2-Ssec.; South Dunedin lmin. 23 3-Ssec.; Timaru (Hunt), Imm. 24 3-sseo.; Gore (Wallace), lmin. 25 3-sseo. Hose, reel, and ladder, five men — Carterton, lmin. 14 l-ssec., clean; Hawera, lmin. 15 l-ssec.; Timaru Railway, lmin. 3-ssec.; St. Kilda, lmin. 16 3-ssec. (inc. 2sec. penalty). . Timaru is leading in the unooupled three-men hos'e, reel, and hydrant. Timaru has won the Speight Shield outright and the Manual-Shield, and has a good lead for the High-Pressure Shield.
