TECHNICAL EDUCATION
MEETING OF THE BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Technical Education Board was held last night. Mr. D. Robertson presided,and there were .also present: Messrs. J. P. Luke, G. Frost, and W. H. Field. 1 The instructor m practical hygiene (Mr. A. M. Munro) was also appointed to the position of instructor in botany, at a salary of £20 per annum. It was resolved to continue the two classes together, until it was shown- that separation was' necessary. . A discussion arose on a proposal forwarded to the director to start musical classos in connection with the Technical School. Mr. La Trobe though:, that with their present facilities the time was rot opportune to start the classes. Finally it was decided to ask the director to communicate with other centres where the classes were tried. The matter will' come up again- at nest meeting. Accounts amounting to £177 17s. lOd. and salaries £792 2s. 7d., were passed for payment:
