Most of the better class merinoe were eagerly snapped np for that destinar tion. Six thousand six hundred bales •were catalogued for competition, and there were exceedingly strong and satisfactory clearances. Prices for hotter class merinos were unchanged; medium merinos and crossbreds generally showed a further Improvement on tho extreme rates ruling a tortnight ago.
