ORGAN RECITAL.

There was a more enoouraging attendance of the public on Saturday night at the Town Hall, when the" City Organist, Mr. Bernard Page, gave his second recotal of the year. The programme was an exceptionally fine one, and representative of Wagner, Mendelssohn, Corelli, and Cesar Franck, and others. The opening number was Mendelssohn's great overture, "The Hebrides," which is considered to be the great composer's masterpiece. Then followed the three movements of W. F. Bach's Concerto in D Minor. The strangely beautiful'"Waldweben," from Act 11, of Wagner's "Siegfried," concluded the first half of the programme. The wonderful music of this was played with remarkable depth of feeling by Mr. Page. The great violinist composer, Corelli, was represented''oll the programme by the Prelude (from the Ninth Sonata for the violin), and the number was a most interesting and enjoyable one. Mr. Page's favourite coinposer, Cesar Franck, was represented 011 the programme by two of his finost works, "Pastorale.'' with its remarkable melodious charm, and "Piece Horoique." Other numbers of the programme woro Wolstenbolme's "Nocturne" and "Scherzo" (Hofmann).
