9 SATURDAY'S SHOOTING. KARORI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB, The Karori Club concluded its 6eryioe series with numbers 5 and 6 practices at 500 yards. The winner proved to be Rifleman F. W. Ching, with a score of 133, which wins the silver cup presented by Mrs. Halpin. Riflemen H. V. Croxton, J. Cox, G. Tinney, and N. F. Willoughby win trophies donated by the club. At the conclusion of the service shoot a ten-shot sweepstake match was fired at 600 yards, the top score being made by Rifleman H. Bulford, with 47. Considering the conditions prevailing (a fairly stiff nor'-wester blowing across the range) the score made by Rifleman Bulford is an excellent one. Next Saturday the club will fire two teams matches, probably against the Petone Rifle Club.
