GERMAN PRESS ATTACK ON AMERICA
MR. BRYAN ASSAILED (Rec. January 2, 1.30 a.m.) Amsterdam, February 4. The German newspaper "Koelnischo Zeitung" violently attacks Mr.- W.' J. Bryan (United States Secretary of State) for making himself the 'mouthpiece for the brutal British, aud declares that American neutrality is a thin veil, concealing an eagerness to do England a good turn. "If America respects only brute force," says that paper, t 'we must give free play to. brute force."
